Spybot will not start up

Have been running into more and more cases where Spybot install';s but will not open up. It appears to be soemthing blocking it from running. If I rename the EXE it opens but does not run properly.

Can aynone help?

Renaming the desktop icon should make it run at least, but I'm not sure what is happening that is not making it run properly. Can you elaborate on that part?

Yes renaming shortcut does not work

Have to rename exe file. Then program launches but does not run properly

Have seen on 3 or 4 machines over last few months

It appears to be malware blocking it

Two of the machiens also would not allow hijack this to run either

However after re name it ran fine

Machies appears to be clean after a manual clean but still can not get spybot to run and I can not find what is stopping it

Are these machines workstation machines or Personal Computers? Which computer are you primarily focusing on at the moment? If it is indeed malware, you can start your own thread in the Malware Removal Forums (a specialist will assist you to remove whatever is disabling Spybot in your system).

First I'll need your response, then I'll give you the directions.
