siteadvisor.com (from McAfee)

safeweb.norton.com (from Norton symantec)

A Few Key points

*Don't click on random Ads
*Don't go porn websites
*Don't download stuffs from unknown websites
*Clear caches after finishing internet
*Run anti virus full scans weekly

Effective Ads Blocking

Scanning

It's best to scan things in safe mode, and use the folder option settings in computer correctly for Thorough scanning

*shows hidden files and folders
*Un-tick hide protection operating system files
*Un-tick hide extension for known file types
*Turn off System Restore (can turn it after cleared infections)

Credit to Twtew from Yahoo Answer

Make sure you use tick the correct settings before scanning, some of the necessary software settings aren't set after installed/updated

Purpose : Obviously not for spamming, just want to post something useful. And nowadays there's a lot harmful stuffs even if you did not visit adult sites.

So how did I get infected in the first place? (http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=279)

SiteAdivsor=:yuck:

Apparently, I found that out months ago that it was not based on real-time ratings, just credible feedback from users.

I would recommend "WOT" (Web of Trust) : ).

Site Advisor does take user input into consideration, however apprantly they do the testing when all is said and done, and the process appears to be extremely slow at times.

When WOT first emerged on the scene I was apprehensive there might be abuse of the community run system by some users, but so far I have been impressed with the results. A rogue will be flagged very quickly.
