View Full Version : spybot unable to remove Virtumonde, Virtumonde.generic and Smithfraud-C.

Hi,
I ran spybot last night and it found several trojans and other spyware. it was able to remove most of them. but virtumonde and smithfraud-C keep showing up after reboot. I have mcafee virusscan and it starts up disabled after the spyware issue started yesterday. i also get a warning from windows security center that auto updates are off and virus scan is disabled. could someone please help!! thanks!

I disabled teatimer, renamed hijackthis to narcot1x.exe and ran HJT.

Remember to re-enable them afterwards.


Click Yes to allow ComboFix to continue scanning for malware.


When the tool is finished, it will produce a report for you.
