Virtumonde won't delete, also the smitfraud thing too.

I am quite good at average computer uses, and have gone my entire computing life without any major viruses, but I just can't get rid of virtumonde.

I am confused about why to disable tea timer, so I haven't.

Hi

TeaTimer enabled prevents fix from working and that's why it has to be disabled :santa:


Disable Spybot's TeaTimer to make sure it won't interfere with fixes. You can re-enable it when you're clean again:
Run Spybot-S&D in Advanced Mode
If it is not already set to do this, go to the Mode menu
select
Advanced Mode

On the left hand side, click on Tools
Then click on the Resident icon in the list
Uncheck
Resident TeaTimer
and OK any prompts.
Restart your computer

Download ResetTeaTimer.bat to the Desktop (right click the link and select save)

Double click ResetTeaTimer.bat to remove all entries set by TeaTimer (and preventing TeaTimer to restore them upon reactivation).


Go to C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\HijackThis folder and rename HijackThis.exe file there to something.exe. Post a fresh hjt log after renaming is done.
