okay i have a spyware / virus im not quite sure on my computer which claims i have an infection called Win32.Netsky.Q, however i have scanned with zone alarms and it finds nothing. I have also used several tools aimed at finding this specific infection and they find no trace of it. The infection causes windows firewall to show an error message and my internet browser (mozilla firefox) will not load pages because it constantly displays a message claiming my connection is insecure. I have now installed and updated spybot search and destroy and it did find and remove some spyware, unfortunately though it didnt deal with the said infection :(. When i follow the error messages advice on solving the problem however it takes me to download of perfect defender 2009 (which you have to pay for) and tells me to download this to solve my problems.
Any help would be greatly appreciated

Which program is giving an error message and taking you to the rogue 'Perfect Defender' download?
Best regards. :)

Hello hysteria92,
windows security centre is the program complaining and thus leading me to the rogue 'perfect defender'
FYI, that is not the legitimate Windows Security Center alerting you, it is an infection trying to scare users into purchasing a rogue antispyware program.
For someone to take a look at the system, please follow the procedure in this link:
"BEFORE you POST"(READ this Procedure BEFORE Requesting Assistance) (http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288)
Then start your own thread in the Malware Removal Forum (http://forums.spybot.info/forumdisplay.php?f=22) where a helper will advise you when available.
Best regards.
