Hi gtorresucf

Download random's system information tool (RSIT) by random/random from here (http://images.malwareremoval.com/random/RSIT.exe) and save it to your desktop.
Double click on RSIT.exe to run RSIT.
Click Continue at the disclaimer screen.
Once it has finished, two logs will open. Please post the contents of both log.txt (<<will be maximized) and info.txt (<<will be minimized)

Yes ComboFix is a tool which shouldn't be ran without supervision.

We need to run a system scan with Dr. Web CureIt
Please download DrWeb-CureIt (ftp://ftp.drweb.com/pub/drweb/cureit/drweb-cureit.exe) & save it to your desktop.
DO NOT perform a scan yet.
Reboot your computer in "SAFE MODE (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/tutorial61.html)" using the F8 method. To do this, restart your computer and after hearing your computer bep once during startup (but before the Windows icon appears) press the F8 key repeatedly. A menu will appear with several options. Use the arrow keys to navigate and select the option to run Windows in "Safe Mode". Do not select "Safe Mode with Networking" or "Safe Mode with Command Prompt".
Double-click on drweb-cureit.exe to start the program. An "Express Scan of your PC" notice will appear.
Under "Start the Express Scan Now", Click "OK" to start. This is a short scan that will scan the files currently running in memory and when something is found, click the Yes button when it asks you if you want to cure it.
Once the short scan has finished, Click Options > Change settings
Choose the "Scan tab" and UNcheck "Heuristic analysis"
Back at the main window, click "Complete Scan"
Then click the "Start/Stop Scanning" button (green arrow on the right) and the scan will start.
When done, a message will be displayed at the bottom advising if any viruses were found.
Click "Yes to all" if it asks if you want to cure/move the file.
When the scan has finished, look if you can see the icon next to the files found. If so, click it, then click the next icon right below and select "Move incurable".
(This will move it to the C:\Documents and Settings\userprofile\DoctorWeb\Quarantine folder if it can't be cured)
Next, in the Dr.Web CureIt menu on top, click file and choose save report list.
Save the DrWeb.csv report to your desktop.
Exit Dr.Web Cureit when done.
Important! Reboot your computer because it could be possible that files in use will be moved/deleted during reboot.
After reboot, post the contents of the log from Dr.Web in your next reply. (You can use Notepad to open the DrWeb.cvs report)

In your next reply, please include the following:
Dr.Web's Log

Please move combofix here back from dr. web quarantine.

After that:

Download gmer.zip (http://gmer.net/gmer.zip) and save to your desktop.
alternate download site 1 (http://hype.free.googlepages.com/gmer.zip)
alternate download site 2 (http://www.castlecops.com/downloads-file-546.html)

Unzip/extract the file to its own folder. (Click here (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial105.html) for information on how to do this if not sure. Win 2000 users click here (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial106.html).
When you have done this, disconnect from the Internet and close all running programs.
There is a small chance this application may crash your computer so save any work you have open.
Double-click on Gmer.exe to start the program.
Allow the gmer.sys driver to load if asked.
If it gives you a warning at program start about rootkit activity and asks if you want to run a scan...click NO.
Click on "Settings", then check the first five settings:
*System Protection and Tracing
*Processes
*Save created processes to the log
*Drivers
*Save loaded drivers to the log
You will be prompted to restart your computer. Please do so.

Run Gmer again and click on the Rootkit tab.
Look at the right hand side (under Files) and uncheck all drives with the exception of your C drive.
Make sure all other boxes on the right of the screen are checked, EXCEPT for "Show All".
Click on the "Scan" and wait for the scan to finish.
Note: Before scanning, make sure all other unning programs are closed and no other actions like a scheduled antivirus scan will occur while this scan completes. Also do not use your computer during the scan.
When completed, click on the Copy button and right-click on your Desktop, choose "New" > Text document. Once the file is created, open it and right-click again and choose Paste or Ctrl+V. Save the file as gmer.txt and copy the information in your next reply.
Note: If you have any problems, try running GMER in SAFE MODE (http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/tutorial61.html)"
Important! Please do not select the "Show all" checkbox during the scan.

Hello Shaba,

Don't know what i'm doing wrong but I followed your directions and when I try to paste the text to an editor like notepad, it doesn't display anything. I can see the hour glass working but nothing gets pasted to the editor.

Thanks.

Found out that the information copied to the clipboard is to large for wordpad or notepad. I pasted it into Word and it's 1,192 pages long. The "select all" option was NOT check before the scan. Would you still like me to paste the information?

Thanks for your help.

When you ran gmer scan was "Show All" unchecked?

If not, gmer log can be huge.

The "Show All" option was greyed out, it was NOT checked. Since it was greyed out, I was unable to check it also. Should I run it again?

Thanks

No need.

Please do a search for rootkit and post any entries here that match.
