Hello, first I'll refer to the link of my thread that was previously closed http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=37974&page=3

The problem in my 29th post in that thread:

About the desktop.ini thing (which I pointed out earlier in this thread) that starts itself and pops up in notepad whenever I have rebooted... it has the text:
[.ShellClassInfo]
LocalizedResourceName=@%SystemRoot%\system32\shell32.dll,-21787

This had started around the time I got infected and asked for help on here I think. I suddenly found ''desktop.ini'' when I go to ''start'' (it's above ''programs'' in a seperate section), it's also in my favorites list in explorer and I also find it when I go to ''start''->''programs'' at the end of the list of software. Is this in any way harmful and even not, how can I get it to stop from popping up after I start up my comp?

This problem still exists even after I followed the instruction in post 30 in which I was told to create and run a batch file. I doubleclicked the file and it just disappeared? Then I rebooted and still have that desktop.ini problem...

Also I have noticed another thing that happened around the time I posted the thread referred to in the link above. There are two files seemingly imprinted onto my desktop: M-MCbtcV0e2t[1].torrent. and M-U0Q4nRI4Sj[1].torrent. (yes I know the rules on this site and have deleted+uninstalled all torrent software as instructed).

They look 'ghosted' on my desktop, like when you set a file on hidden but set the settings on ''show hidden files and folders''. However, when looking at the properties of these files, they're not set on ''hide''. Whenever I try to delete them or rename them, I always get this: ''Cannot delete/rename file: cannot read from the source file or disk.

Hopefully someone can help:

Hi Tensai

I am sorry that we were unable to reply to your post sooner. The forums have been very busy.
I don't think your problem is malware related.........

Please read this........

Notepad Starts With "[.ShellClassInfo] (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/330132)

and post back if it helped.

Thanks for your reply! I understand the .ini thing now...

However, any idea about this:
Also I have noticed another thing that happened around the time I posted the thread referred to in the link above. However, when looking at the properties of these files, they're not set on ''hide''. Whenever I try to delete them or rename them, I always get this: ''Cannot delete/rename file: cannot read from the source file or disk.

If it's not malware related then sorry... but it's strange how this can't be gotten rid of??

Hi Tensai

I am not an expert at this type of problem. I would suggest that you go to one of the forums below that specialize in more general computer problems. They have people that know more about this sort of problem because it does not seem to be a malware problem.
