Requesting assistance with removal of Smithfraud-C, Virtumonde and Virtumonde.generic.
I had a problem while on the internet. Closed explorer and turned modem off. Scanned with Spybot S&D see below. Is this computer safe to use for connecting to this site for help? The computer I'm currently using is not the one infected.
I have reviewed a few of the topics related to this type of infection in the forum and downloaded most of the programs that are used to fix this type of infection. Will it be safe to transfer these files via flash drive without infecting this computer?
Also when I bootup a message is displayed asking if I want to work offline or retry, then when shutdown the computer an end program message is displayed wanting to close explorer.exe.
Spybot S&D results:
Smithfraud-C 1 Malware entry
Virtumonde 5 Trojan entries
Virtumonde.generic 3 Trojan entries
