Download OTMoveIt3 by OldTimer from here (http://oldtimer.geekstogo.com/OTMoveIt3.exe) and save it to your desktop
Launch OTMoveIt3.exe and copy the text from the codebox below into the lefthand box below "Paste Instructions for Items to be Moved"

Double-check that the input matches the code box above and then click the MoveIt! button to start the script. If you're prompted about rebooting allow the request.
Once OTMoveIt finishes, a log will be located at C:\_OTMoveIt\MovedFiles\mmddyyyy_hhmmss. (mmddyyyy_hhmmss is a timestamp from when the log was created)

2 - Download and Run Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
Please download Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (http://www.besttechie.net/tools/mbam-setup.exe) and save it to your desktop.

Double-click on Download_mbam-setup.exe to install the application.
When the installation begins, follow the prompts and do not make any changes to default settings.
When installation has finished, make sure you leave both of these checked:
Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
Then click Finish.
MBAM will automatically start and you will be asked to update the program before performing a scan.
If an update is found, the program will automatically update itself.
Press the OK button to close that box and continue.
If you encounter any problems while downloading the updates, manually download them from here (http://www.malwarebytes.org/mbam/database/mbam-rules.exe) and just double-click on mbam-rules.exe to install.
On the Scanner tab:
Make sure the "Perform full scan" option is selected.
Then click on the Scan button.
If asked to select the drives to scan, leave all the drives selected and click on the Start Scan button
The scan will begin and "Scan in progress" will show at the top. It may take some time to complete so please be patient.
When the scan is finished, a message box will say "The scan completed successfully. Click 'Show Results' to display all objects found".
Click OK to close the message box and continue with the removal process.
Back at the main Scanner screen:
Click on the Show Results button to see a list of any malware that was found.
Make sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
When removal is completed, a log report will open in Notepad and you may be prompted to restart your computer. (see Note below)
The log is automatically saved and can be viewed by clicking the Logs tab in MBAM.

Copy and paste the contents of that report in your next reply and exit MBAM.

2 - Kaspersky Online Scan
Please go to Kaspersky website (http://www.kaspersky.com/kos/eng/partner/default/kavwebscan.html) and perform an online antivirus scan.
Read through the requirements and privacy statement and click on Accept button.
It will start downloading and installing the scanner and virus definitions. You will be prompted to install an application from Kaspersky. Click Run.
When the downloads have finished, click on Settings.
Make sure these boxes are checked (ticked). If they are not, please tick them and click on the Save button: Spyware, Adware, Dialers, and other potentially dangerous programs

Mail databases Click on My Computer under Scan.
Once the scan is complete, it will display the results. Click on View Scan Report.
You will see a list of infected items there. Click on Save Report As....
Save this report to a convenient place. Change the Files of type to Text file (.txt) before clicking on the Save button.

3 - Run Hijackthis
Click on the Do a system scan and save a logfile button. It will scan and the log should open in notepad

Clear all your saved emails, and any other emails you may have read but haven't deleted.''' especially any with attachments.
Please delete the quarantined files from your Trend Micro quarantine folder.
(C:\Program Files\Trend Micro\Internet Security 14\Quarantine)
There's some malware in your Java cache so lets clear it.
Press Start
Go to Control Panel
Click Java
Under Temporary Internet Files click Settings...
Now click Delete files...
Select both options and click OK
The temporary files will now be deleted.
When done click OK twice and close Control Panel

But...
I went to delete files from my outlook...when i went to one particular folder, it wouldnt open and came up with a message that read...
"Errors have been detected in the file C:\Documents and settings\kppro\local settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\outlook.pst. Quit Outlook and all mail-enabled applications, and then use the inbox repair tool (scanpst.exe) to diagnose and repair errors in the file. For more information about the inbox repair tool, see help."
I figured it must be a bad file, so I deleted the file. Now when I go to empty the deleted items folder in outlook, that same message from above appears, and I cannot empty my deleted items folder.
I opened up the inbox repair tool , but cannot locate the file to fix...I get lost after C:\documents and settings\kppro\ ...after that, there is no "local settings" so i can't figure out how to repair.
Other then that...my computer seems to running fine.

The PST file is the where Outlook stores all its data. Calender, Address Book and E-mail
Therefore you should never delete a PST file because it will remove all the E-mail and other data.
You can´t use scanpst.exe,because you have deleted PST.-file...........
Let´s try this........
Restore the file from your recycle bin
(To restore an individual file, right click the file and then click on Restore to recover it)

I was able to repair and delete the outlook files! Thanks for the help in that! :) I rescanned with kaspersky and also another hjt log.

Now that you are clean, please follow these simple steps in order to keep your computer clean and secure:
Disable and Enable System Restore-WINDOWS XP
This is a good time to clear your existing system restore points and establish a new clean restore point:
Turn off System Restore
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.
Reboot.
Turn ON System Restore
On the Desktop, right-click My Computer.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
UN-Check *Turn off System Restore*.
Click Apply, and then click OK.
This will remove all restore points except the new one you just created.

The MVPS Hosts file replaces your current HOSTS file with one containing well know ad sites etc. Basically, this prevents your computer from connecting to those sites by redirecting them to 127.0.0.1 which is your local computer.

Update your Antivirus programs and other security products regularly to avoid new threats that could infect your system.

One final question if I may...My trend micro PC-cillin antivirus software is about to expire...(it came with the computer)...do you suggest renewing it, or just downloadig AVG or another program?

Here are some popular and free anti-virus scanners.
1) Antivir PersonalEdition Classic (http://www.free-av.com/)- Free anti-virus software for Windows. Free support. (my favorite)
2) avast! 4 Home Edition (http://www.avast.com/eng/avast_4_home.html) - Anti-virus program for Windows. The home edition is freeware for noncommercial users.
3) AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition (http://free.grisoft.com/ww.homepage) - Free edition of the AVG anti-virus program for Windows.
You should run only one antivirus program at a time. Having more than one antivirus program active in memory uses additional resources and results in program conflicts and false virus alerts.
