Took the computer to Staples for "virus removal", 98 bucks! Problems are still here.
When right clicking on the desktop icons, especially the start bar, the computer freezes. Then Dr Watson comes up and that freezes. Have to go to task manager and end task for Dr Watson so that the computer unfreezes.
The computer was having pop up windows with the "security alert for trojan.zlob.g before going to Staples. That is no longer happening, however, I read on-line that this issue was caused by the .exe file listed in the thread title.
please help...
below is the log file.

Welcome to Safer Networking, I wish to be sure you have viewed and understand this information.
"BEFORE you POST" (READ this Procedure before Requesting Assistance) http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288
All advice given is taken at your own risk.
Please make sure you have read this information so we are on the same page.
Make sure you read and follow the directions, anything else will slow the process and waste both of our time. I suggest you keep this computer offline except when troubleshooting, the junk may download more. If you have any tool I use, delete it and download it new from the link I provide. Read and follow the directions carefully, the tools will not work unless you do.
The junk can be tough to remove, so do not expect fast or easy.
I apologize for the wait, volunteers are swamped at all forums with infected computers. If you have resolved your issues, please post to let me know so I can close this topic.
http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=20965 <<< see this information, it is a wonder this thread has not be archived by now. If you have not resolved these issues, read the directions pinned (sticky) to the top of this forum and posted above and make sure you have followed all directions. Since this log is six days old, post a new HJT log after MBAM has been run.
That's some kind of random named trojan and I would suggest manual removal except that more junk may be hiding. Google returns no information, so if you still need help let's start with MBAM.
Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your Desktop
http://www.malwarebytes.org/
* Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
* Be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select Perform FULL SCAN, then click Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location. The log can also be opened by going to Start > All Programs > Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware > Logs > log-date.txt
* Please post contents of that file & a new HJT log in your next reply.
Note: If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts. Click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process. If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately. Failure to reboot will prevent MBAM from removing all the malware.
Tutorial if needed:

Thanks...Phil
Here is the Malwarebytes log and the new hjt log as requested. FYI, since my first post but before you had responded, I went into Search and Destroy in advanced mode under the system startup tab and disabled the line referencing the malware. I restarted the system and did not evidence any ill effect from taking this action so I deleted that line, again using Search and Destroy. I am still however experiencing the same symptoms as stated in my first post, windows and dr. martin freezing up intermittently with right clicks.
I did delete then reinstall Malwarebytes as recommended.

Thanks for the feedback, you can see MBAM found nothing so this may not be a malware issue? When you experience these freezes, what exactly are you doing? Windows usually provides and error messages, are you receiving any? If so post those word for word.
I see some junk in the HJT log, but no actual malware, have a look at this information:
C:\program files\support.com\client\bin\tgcmd.exe
http://www.systemlookup.com/Startup/13092.html
This is likely a Windows issues and unless you are getting errors messages, it is one of the hardest issues to troubleshoot. You may do better at a Windows forum as I do little Windows troubleshooting anymore. Have a look at the google:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=freezing+up+intermittently+with+right+clicks&btnG=Google+Search&aq=f&oq=
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=troublesoot+windows+XP+freezing&btnG=Search
Here is a good troubleshooting site: http://kadaitcha.cx/
Post an uninstall list: Open Hijackthis.
Click the "Open the Misc Tools" section Button.
Click the "Open Uninstall Manager" Button.
Click the "Save list..." Button.
Save it to your desktop. Copy and paste the contents into your reply.
Image: http://img.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/hijackthis/uninstall-man.jpg
Provide the uninstall list and any additional information you think may help.
I suggest a free diagnostic here:
http://www.pcpitstop.com/
Here is what happens.
When right clicking on the desktop (and also the start bar) to delete unused icons or files, windows will often crash. (usually after 2 or three have been deleted in a row)
The following window pops up:
windows explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close.
we are sorry for the inconvenience.
if you were in the middle of something the information you were working on might be lost
for more information about this error click here.
<after clicking the link the following info pops up>
appname: explorer.exe appver: 6.02900.5512
mod name: ntdll.dll mod ver: 6.02900.5512
offset: 00011669
to view technical information about this report click here
<I couldn't figure out any way of copying the technical information beyond doing a screen capture> it is very long and there are a lot of characters that would make manually copying the information near impossible.>
the following files will be included in the report
documents and setting\r.madison\local\setup\temp\e883_appcompat.txt
I can never seem to find this file to view the contents.
After clicking on the button to close the window a similar popup for Dr Watson comes up
This reads:
Dr Watson Postmortem Debugger has encountered a problem and needs to close.

the following files are listed here:( I also can't find these files to view them)
docume~1\locals~1\temp\werff57.dir00\drwatson32.exe.mdp
docume~1\locals~1\temp\werff57.dir00\appcompat.txt
after clicking the exit button this window freezes up and in order to unfreeze everything, I open task manager and end task for Dr watson (sometimes there are several instances of this program listed.)
All the icons then disappear from the desktop and reload . The computer is now unfrozen.
I did find on Google when searching "Dr Watson virus" several sites discussing a virus that may be the cause of this and other very similar issues.
One also mentioned a possible bug in the divx codec.
I have this installed on my computer, should I uninstall this and see if it has any effect on the problem.
Thanks again for the assistance, here is the hjt uninstall save list you requested.

This can be done as time permits, but it is very important.
Uninstall list: I look for malware and security issues and will not know all of your programs, but you should.
Hackers are using out of date programs to infect folks more and more,
Here is a small free tool that lets you know when something needs an update if you are interested:
http://secunia.com/vulnerability_scanning/personal/ While PSI runs in the System Tray for realtime notifications, I personally prefer to turn it off in MSConfig and run it from All Programs when I want to do a check.
Adobe Reader 7.1.0 <<< out of date, see this:
http://news.cnet.com/8301-1009_3-10081618-83.html?tag=nl.e433
http://www.filehippo.com/download_adobe_reader/
(if you want a smaller program, look at this one)
Foxit Reader 2.3 for Windows
http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/rd_intro.php
Viewpoint Media Player (Remove Only)
For your information, Viewpoint is installed by aol probably without your knowledge. I suggest you uninstall this resource waster in Add Remove programs.

Let's see if a Kaspersky Online Scan (KOS) locates anything:
Run this online scan using Internet Explorer:
Kaspersky Online Scanner from http://www.kaspersky.com/virusscanner
Next Click on Launch Kaspersky Online Scanner
You will be prompted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, Click Yes.
* The program will launch and then begin downloading the latest definition files:
* Once the files have been downloaded click on NEXT
* Now click on Scan Settings
* In the scan settings make that the following are selected:
* Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
* Standard
* Scan Options:
* Scan Archives
* Scan Mail Bases
* Click OK
* Now under select a target to scan:
* Select My Computer
* This will program will start and scan your system.
* The scan will take a while so be patient and let it run.
* Once the scan is complete it will display if your system has been infected.
* Now click on the Save as Text button:
* Save the file to your desktop.
Then post it here.

I have not uninstalled the Divx codec, do you recommend this or is it safe now to leave on my system?
On a related topic, after uninstalling Windvd (per Secunia's recommendation) I no longer have a dvd decoder on my system. Do you have any recommendations as to a trusted safer download site for an open source decoder.
I have uninstalled Adobe reader and installed Foxit reader.
I ran a Kaspersky online scan and one trojan was found. I have not done anything to remove that file-waiting for your instructions

Here is what I can tell you. I showed you which programs I knew we are security issues and provided a program to help you check the others (which I do not know) if you were interested. Secunia PSI gives you advice, it's up to you if you follow it or not.
"Mcafee automatically blocked and removed a trojan.
Generic.dx
Location- c:\program files\Divx\Divx\Divx ekg.exe
Here is the Google: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=Divx+ekg.exe&btnG=Google+Search&aq=f&oq=
That may me a false postive, you can ask McAfee here:
http://www.mcafee.com/us/support/
or scan the files yourself here:
http://virusscan.jotti.org/
http://www.kaspersky.com/scanforvirus
http://www.virustotal.com/
DivX <<< as far as I can see there is nothing wrong with this program:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=DivX&btnG=Search
You may want to have a look at this information:
http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=7344
Do you have any recommendations as to a trusted safer download site for an open source decoder.
I have no knowledge of this, try a Google search for information.
Kaspersky Online Scan (KOS)
