Hi, I have got this virus before and was able to get rid of it with most conventional methods (I know a fair amount about this stuff) but this time I have spent 4 hours trying to get a clue why this one is so stubborn.
The problem is that the icon for "Virus Alert!" is still on my computer even though I have used pretty much every spyware removal program to get rid of it, it just wont go away!
What makes things worse is that if I try to use ewido in a full system scan (the same thing happened with spy sweeper) it will crash my computer, and in safe mode will not find a single thing even with the icon still there.

Again nothing out of the ordinary. The extra programs it installs I have removed with relative (compared to this) ease but the actual virus alert icon in the tray will just not go away.
