View Full Version : Pop Up Notice From S&D
after i ran the scan this pop up appear from S&D, saying allowing change or not on something.
For example here is what popped up:
spyboy-SnD has detected an important registy entry that has been changed
Category:system startup entry
change: value added
Entry:spybotdeletingB9490
"allow change", "?", "info", "deny changes"
what option should i pick?

You should pick Allow. Everything will be fine after that. :cowboy:
oh cool thanks for the tip. One question following up on that. There is an check option that says: "remember this" or something like that. should I check the box?
Also, say what if you press deny changes, what happens?

I would suggest you just click Allow and that's now. Well, there's not really going to be any major difference if you choose "Remember my Decision" or not.
What happens is that this startup entry (Spybotdeletingxxxxxx) means that Spybot has successfully removed something during Windows bootup. So now that the removal has be done, it'll remove itself from the Windows Startup Manager because your machine does not need that task anymore (Spybot has done what it needs to do).
That answer your question :santa:?

Maybe not in this particular case, but there is a very important difference in choosing to "Remember" or not...I write this here for others that may read this thread under other circumstances.
Choosing to "Remember" saves the decision in the appropriate white (allow) or black (deny) list. If the same action comes up again, TeaTimer will react to the list entry (if black&white list use is activated) and NOT notify the user that a change is being made (or denied).
That may NOT be something a user wants to have happen.

kail and dust123, I apologize if I wasn't clear enough...
(To make it clear, I meant) My opinion was referring to THIS specific thread only. The quote was meant for the "SpybotDeletingxxxxxxx" Startup entry only.
I'll keep that in mind next time, thanks.
