I'm having trouble downloading updates for Spybot this week. I normally have no trouble at all, but this time it's slower than I have ever seen. When I run the Spybot updater, I get about three progress bars, the update practically stops, and the updater freezes. At first I thought servers might be receiving maintenance, but this happens every time I've tried since Wednesday. Strangely, the manual download from safer-networking.org is just as slow for me! I'm downloading it now but at slower-than-dial up speeds. It must be 20 minutes into the download and I only have 87.6 Kb. Does anybody know what might be causing this?

Your download speed is even slow when you're attempting to download the updates directly from your browser at Spybot's homepage?
What kind of Internet connection do you have? And what version of Spybot are you running?

Select another download mirror the next time and see if there is an improvement. It is possible that the particular download site was bogged down due to the volume of downloads or was experiencing problems at that particular time.
