Does "Recycle Bin Corrupted" mean computer is infected?

Hi...

I have Windows Vista Home Premium. For the last few days, I have been getting the error message, "Recycle Bin is Corrupted - Do You Want to Empty Your Recycle Bin? when I first boot up my computer and when I try to delete (or move) a file.

Does this mean that I have a spyware?

I use Trend Micro Internet Security for my Anti-Virus software, which is supposed to protect against spyware/malware as well.
