Trojan Problem

So far I've tried everything I could think of to remove my infection.
Tried Spybot, Adware, Norton Internet Security Anti-Spyware edition, manual scanning of proccesses/registry/harddrive. Lastly just before this hijackthis! log I ran the brute force uninstaller following some instructions posted in a different topic with what seemed to be an un-related problem.

What I know on infection:
Presumed Root directory:
C:\Documents and Settings\HP_Administrator\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5
Attempts to access httpInfectedDomain://www.impotato.com/a412/di1.php (added "InfectedDomain" to link so no-one accidently infects themselves).
Also attempted to access IP 24.93.41.125

Would appreciate any help I can get on this.

Hello and welcome to the fourm. you do have some nasty stuff onboard, let's see if we can rid you of it. Please do this in the posted order.

Enable hidden files and folders before you start...reverse the process when finished.

1) Download CWShredder from one of these links:

http://www.trendmicro.com/cwshredder/
Choose "Check For Update" If no updates are available, then click on Fix -> NOT scan Only.
IF an instance of CWS is located have it fixed if requested.
If not click Next then Exit. (let me know if CWS was found)

2) Please tell me what this is: C:\WINDOWS\arservice.exe If you do not know, use one or more of these free online scanners and post the results for me:

3) You have ewido, open the program and choose update, allow time for it to finish then close the program.

4) Restart the computer in Safe Mode, instuctions if needed: http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/tutorial61.html

5) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"

6) RIGHT Click on Start then click on Explore. Locate and delete these items:

C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\winzzd32.dll >>> file

C:\Windows\Prefetch\ >>> delete the contents (NOT THE FOLDER)

7) Open ewido and do a complete system. Allow ewido to remove anything it locates unless you know it is not bad. Save that scan report, I must see it.

Restart the computer to Normal mode

If you don't have a good cleaner, use this free one with these instructions:
Download CCleaner from this link: http://www.ccleaner.com/ Review the instructions http://www.ccleaner.com/help/tour1.asp
Run CCleaner, Windows & Applications when you run the registry cleaner (Issues) you will be prompted to backup before you can remove stuff, make sure you do.

Post the ewido scan results, a new HJT log and any comments you think will help.

Log files make my post too long I'll end up posting in 3 posts.

1) CWS shredder was unable to download update however I downloaded
version 2.19 and that's listed as latest. CWS was not found.

2) I have no clue what arservice.exe, many of the proccesses/programs
on my system I don't know anything about since they came with my hp
machine already loaded. Scanned file using:
http://virusscan.jotti.org/, http://www.kaspersky.com/scanforvirus,
http://www.virustotal.com/flash/index_en.html, Norton Internet
Security. All report file clean.

5) O2 - BHO: **** C:\WINDOWS\winres.dll
Not found, I think I removed it myself prior to your reply.

None found, I don't recall removing any of these myself.

it look like it is safe, and right click then give me any information in its properties.

Ewido scan, please edit out any cookies that were deleted, any System Restore (System Information) files and anything that is quarantined in another program (those you should delete) and then post the remainer of the ewido scan results by copy/pasting it, not attaching, thanks.

I would probably have also used Avenger if the item did not remove with HJT. I just want to caution you that each script that is written for Avenger is unique to the infection on the particular computer. Be very careful how you use the tool, you could render your computer inoperable.

ewido is a great program but it does use some resources. Once the trial is over you can update and use the scanner for as long as you wish, but unless you purchase it you should turn it off completely so it does not run unless you start it manually.

System Restore does not know the good files from the bad. In case bad stuff has gotten into your System Restore files, follow the instructions in this link to get clean System Restore files. Turn it off, reboot then turn it back on:

I am really interested in anything ewido found but could not remove, and whatever you find about the properties of C:\WINDOWS\arservice.exe

The ewido log contains nothing except cookies and old system backups (folders 700 & 2.0 are inactive backups, if I need anything I copy 'n' paste it out of those 2 folders to the appropriate location).

As for arservice.exe:
700mhz system, used to run on win 98 then later XP. arservice.exe not found
2.0ghz system, ran on XP. arservice.exe not found
current system, running XP using unknown stuff that came with installation: found
