My troubles seemed to begin over the past few days, first with my internet connection having trouble (only the wifi), then with my windows firewall and NAV telling me they'd been shut down, then with popups in IE (I mainly use firefox) crashing Adobe Acrobat and trying to get me to install an antivirus program (I did not).
Upon updating and running Spybot S&D, I discovered a number of Virtumonde variants, disconnected from the internet, had Spybot remove them, and restarted. Most of them were back with the reboot. I also tried running a couple of Vundo fixes, but neither of them found anything on my computer. Also, after that first reboot, I now get a number of popups when using firefox, and when tea timer was running, it was blocking a registry change for 6D794CB4-C7CD-4c6f-BFDC-9B77AFBDC02C about once a second.
Also, when I shut down the computer, I have to manually end Explorer.exe.
