hello, sorry for the profanity on the title, but i'm a bit pissed off. I downloaded a picture from a good friend. And now I got this bullshit flashing wheelchair in my system tray. I've loaded my system suite program, and at first it found the problem, but then it decided it wasn't going to anymore. So now, I'm stuck with a genuine problem. I'm not exactly computer illiterate, i can build one, I'm just not up on all the software parts of computers. was years ago, but being away for a while has been bad on my skills. so i came across your forum, just surfing for a solution. So, is there anything you can help me with. The only thing that stuck out was the fact that system suite 6 did identify what the problem was, but it said it didn't couldn't get rid of it and it was still active. And every time I've tried to scan again, it ignores it. Please! help me, girlfriends computer. And another odd thing, it has only attached itself to my profile in windows, and hasn't gone to any of the others. Maybe I'm just lucky. But could you help me? It would be best if you could email me, not sure how much longer this computer will stay afloat, with how sluggish it's gotten, but I can always check my email on my cellphone and do what you say later. But if you can't then i'll just have to go to the library. Thanks ever much for you're time. Hope you have a solution. oh, like my title says, I think it's related to spyfalcon, and it comes up with IE start page guard up to date . com hope that helps byes.

Looks good :bigthumb:

Assuming everything is running ok and you see no remaining problems on your end, here's some final cleanup and prevention advice.

Use the Windows disk cleanup utility to clear out unnecessary files. Go to Start > Run and type in the box: cleanmgr
Windows will scan the system for files to delete. Make sure these 3 are checkmarked and press *ok* to delete them.

Temporary Files

Temporary Internet Files

Recycle Bin

Now that your PC is clean, make sure all programs are running properly and then you'll need to reset your restore point in Windows XP.......why?

One of the best features of Windows ME or XP is the System Restore option, however if a malware infects a computer with this operating system it can be backed up in the System Restore folder. Therefore, clearing the restore points is necessary after malware removal.

To reset your restore points, please note that you will need to log into your computer with an account which has full administrator access. You will know if the account has administrator access because you will be able to see the System Restore tab. If the tab is missing, you are logged in under a limited account.

(winXP)

1. Turn off System Restore.
Go to Start > Run, click on *My Computer*.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Check Turn off System Restore.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

2. Reboot.

3. Turn ON System Restore.
Go to Start > Run, click on *My Computer*.
Click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
UN-Check *Turn off System Restore*.
Click Apply, and then click OK.

Next, I highly recommend you get some extra protection to prevent future infections. Here are some things you can do and some free programs to help :).
