Hello to everybody,

some days ago, nod 32 found some infections, instantly cleaned, but then I found out that nod 32 was not updated since 20 days and when I tried, it was inpossible to update it (the message shown was "nod 32 is already updated, it's not necessary to update this) even in the nod's official site there was a lot of updates till the day I tried! Then I follow some of your instruction (run housecall find and clean: TRAK_SE.10340,TRAK_SE.10419 uninstall and re-install nod 32, run spybot in safe mode,run HJT and then I will add log file ) but after the 1st time nod 32 still seems to be not able to update himself.

Hi bbluesy

If that hijackthis log was taken in safe mode we need to see one taken while in normal mode, either which way post a new one since it has been a few days.

Is your Nod32 the trial version ? have you looked at there FAQ's ?

Perhaps the hosts file was altered, replace it

Think Prevention:
Put in place a good hosts file

How To Download and Extract the HOSTS file:

Replace it about once monthly to keep it updated
