Hi,
I think you have seen this before. During installation of Spybot 1.6, I received the error 'Error ending Request - A connection with server could not be established'. As per forum requests, I installed Spybot without loading updates. Then tried to start Spybot, an hour glass appears then disapears, no Spybot running.
I am convinced this is a Malware issue since many of my searches in Google (I am using Firefox latest version) are redirected to other sites. All attempts to reach sites such as Spybot result in 'Failed to connect' messages (this also happens with Ms Explorer). XP SP 3.
As per your 'Before you post' instructions, I have run ResetTeaTimer.bat and used HiJackThis to produce the logfile.
