Hello, I hope your new year is starting better than mine! I'm having severe problems with popups on my computer. I can't change the internet privacy settings- it always defaults to "allow all cookies" and won't save my changes. In addition, the computer has some major stability issues. It took several tries today to start Windows, and had some issues shutting down to reboot.
I ran Spybot S&D and it reported Virtumonde, Virtumonde.generic, Virtumonde.sci, and Smitfraud-C. Since "Fix" didn't work for me, it directed me here, in the hopes that someone can assist. It's depressign to see how many other people are having issues with these same things. TeaTimer is turned off. I have some security updates on my XP, I think. I will leave the computer off until I receive a response here.
Please help if you can! I'm not very good with solving computer issues.
