According to spybot scan, I caught the zlob.dnschanger bug...
Cleaning with spybot didn't fix it, so I've run HJT and am pasting the logs for further analysis...
In addition to what I need to do to fix the problem, can someone tell me what all this trojan does? So far I've noticed:
2 icons for porn sites on my desktop
Every few minutes a fake "excessive SMTP traffic" or similar "warning" pops up telling me I need to scan
google search results look funny (ss: http://i41.tinypic.com/16gydly.jpg)

Please make sure you have read this information so we are on the same page.
Make sure you read and follow the directions, anything else will slow the process and waste both of our time. I suggest you keep this computer offline except when troubleshooting, the junk may download more. If you have any tool I use, delete it and download it new from the link I provide. Read and follow the directions carefully, the tools will not work unless you do.
The junk can be tough to remove, so do not expect fast or easy.
I apologize for the wait, volunteers are swamped at all forums with infected computers. If you have resolved your issues, please post to let me know so I can close this topic.
If you still need help, and you have read and followed the "Before you Post" directions, post a new HJT log since it has been five days, and I will take a look, please describe any recent symptoms

I just caught this thread - hope I'm not too late to still get help.
I will have to reboot my machine, as I run a dual-boot system and need to get back into Vista.
I just wanted to throw up a "WAIT! I DO still need help!" banner before it was too late.

Alright - I've got my new scan.
Although, the problem MAY have already been fixed... Apparently Spybot did more than I thought - but I'll post the log and ask for help anyway, just to get analysis of the log in hopes that if there are remnants of the infection, the brilliant folks here will be able to help me out.

If you still need help, and you have read and followed the "Before you Post" directions,
Since TeaTimer is still running in this log, you need to read those directions again!
O4 - HKCU\..\Run: [SpybotSD TeaTimer] C:\Program Files\Spybot - Search & Destroy\TeaTimer.exe
1) We need first to disable TeaTimer that it doesn't interfere with fixes. You can re-enable it when you're clean again:
* Run Spybot-S&D in Advanced Mode.
* If it is not already set to do this Go to the Mode menu select "Advanced Mode"
* On the left hand side, Click on Tools
* Then click on the Resident Icon in the List
* Uncheck "Resident TeaTimer" and OK any prompts.
* Restart your computer.
(leave TT disabled until we finish)
2) Please download ATF Cleaner by Atribune
http://www.atribune.org/public-beta/ATF-Cleaner.exe
Save it to your Desktop. We will use this later.
3) Open HijackThis and choose "Do a system scan only" then check the box in front of these line items:

Close all programs but HJT and all browser windows, then click on "Fix Checked"
4) Run ATF Cleaner
Double-click ATF-Cleaner.exe to run the program.
Click Select All found at the bottom of the list.
Click the Empty Selected button.
Click Exit on the Main menu to close the program.
5) Download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware to your Desktop
http://www.malwarebytes.org/
* Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
* Be sure a checkmark is placed next to Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware, then click Finish.
* If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version.
* Once the program has loaded, select Perform FULL SCAN, then click Scan.
* When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
* Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
* When completed, a log will open in Notepad. Please save it to a convenient location. The log can also be opened by going to Start > All Programs > Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware > Logs > log-date.txt
* Please post contents of that file & a new HJT log in your next reply.
Note: If MBAM encounters a file that is difficult to remove, you will be presented with 1 of 2 prompts. Click OK to either and let MBAM proceed with the disinfection process. If asked to restart the computer, please do so immediately. Failure to reboot will prevent MBAM from removing all the malware.

The computer seems to be running fine, but as I said in my previous post, I thought that SpyBot had actually taken care of it on it's own - which means that I didn't notice anything at the time - so I can't really say how much all this helped. Although I'm sure it did - no doubt. Just saying that I don't NOTICE a difference.
Anyway - thanks again, and don't hesitate to let me know if there is anything else I should clean / get rid of!
