Dear All,
"liveantivirusprotectionscan.com" popped up on my daughter's PC and is documented here: http:// remove-malware.net/how-to-remove-liveantivirusprotectionscancom-hijacker/. The entry is only from today so this might be a new threat.
They recommend installing their "Download Liveantivirusprotectionscan.com Hijacker Automatic Remover" but I am reluctant to do so.
On this forum I found this problem discussed too, on http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=31552.
I ran Spybot, Windows Defeneder, AVG Antivurs Scan, and Trojan Remover 6.7.5 but none found anything. Trendmicros's "Housecall 6.5" online scanner ran but then disppeared without telling me if it found something. Is it save to simply keep working with the PC or should I start posting a Hijack This post in the Malware Forum?
Any ideas would be welcome.
PC is Vista SP1, both IE and Firefox browers used.
Regards
