The following instructions have been created to help you to get rid of "WebCompass.Searchbar" manually.
Use this guide at your own risk; software should usually be better suited to remove malware, since it is able to look deeper.

Description:
WebCompass.Searchbar is a korean application that installs a service and several Browser Helper Objects (BHOs) in order to spy on the user's surfing behavior. However, it has to be installed manually.

You can try to uninstall products with the names listed below; for items identified by other properties or to avoid malware getting active again on uninstallation, use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) or RunAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=runalyzer) to locate and get rid of these entries.

Products that have a key or property named "WebCompass_is1".

Files:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these files.

The file at "c:\Program Files\WebCompass\free.exe".
The file at "c:\Program Files\WebCompass\isutil.exe".
The file at "c:\Program Files\WebCompass\wcsv.dll".
The file at "<PROGRAMFILES>\WebCompass\free.exe".
The file at "<PROGRAMFILES>\WebCompass\isutil.exe".
The file at "<PROGRAMFILES>\WebCompass\wcsv.dll".
A file with an unknown location named "ISWebCP.exe".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If WebCompass.Searchbar uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Important: There are more files that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) to remove them.

Folders:

Please use Windows Explorer or another file manager of your choice to locate and delete these folders.

The directory at "c:\Program Files\WebCompass".
The directory at "<PROGRAMFILES>\WebCompass".
Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If WebCompass.Searchbar uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).

Registry:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.

Delete the registry key "WebCompass" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\AppDataLow\Software\".
Delete the registry key "{39932A4E-63C1-400a-9F3D-3C1655DC5E00}" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Low Rights\ElevationPolicy\".
Delete the registry key "WebCompass" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\".
Delete the registry key "{0843ADDF-44B4-427D-BEB7-865F5DC625B5}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{2D3BA117-A67B-4BE3-B692-A0F399E7EBC3}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{43E33D2F-05E3-45F5-91DA-16B3632D1C1B}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{EA1B77B3-505A-4f0d-95A2-EB7C46F7FE90}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{A264B391-335A-457F-9655-19F351A937F4}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
Delete the registry key "{C7121624-D21B-4CB8-B963-D841728A9F6A}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
Delete the registry key "{D155F61F-B7F1-4D06-B203-C231DC17388C}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
Delete the registry key "{EA1B77B3-505A-4F0D-95A2-EB7C46F7FE92}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Interface\".
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "liteband.Band", plus associated values.
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "rewardband.Band", plus associated values.
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "SearchBar.Bar", plus associated values.
Delete the registry key "{4011C355-ED27-49DC-9E66-89913C211988}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
Delete the registry key "{4033C6A6-84EE-4E1C-AD67-79F11A5CFAB5}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
Delete the registry key "{D8302FD2-8D16-4F0C-BFF5-66F283A068FA}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
Delete the registry key "{EA1B77B3-505A-4F0D-95A2-EB7C46F7FE91}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\TypeLib\".
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "WebCompass.Reward", plus associated values.
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "WebCompass.Reward.1", plus associated values.
Delete the registry key "{39932A4E-63C1-400a-9F3D-3C1655DC5E00}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Low Rights\ElevationPolicy\".

Delete the registry key "wcsv" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\".
Delete the registry key "wcsv" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet002\Services\".
Delete the registry key "wcsv" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet003\Services\".
If WebCompass.Searchbar uses rootkit technologies, use our RegAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=regalyzer), RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
