The following instructions have been created to help you to get rid of "DocTor" manually.
Use this guide at your own risk; software should usually be better suited to remove malware, since it is able to look deeper.

Removal Instructions:

Desktop:

Please remove the following files from your desktop.
To check where they are pointing to, right-click them and choose "Properties" from the context menu appearing.

Shortcuts named "SystemDoctor 2006.lnk" and pointing to "SystemDoctor 2006 Free\sd2006.exe".

Quicklaunch area:

Please remove the following items from your start quick launch area text to the "Start" button in the taskbar at the bottom.
To check where they are pointing to, right-click them and choose "Properties" from the context menu appearing.

Quicklaunch symbols named "SystemDoctor 2006.lnk" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SystemDoctor 2006 Free\sd2006.exe*".

Autorun:

Please use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd), RunAlyzer (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=runalyzer) or msconfig.exe to remove the following autorun entries.

Entries named "DocTor".
Entries named or pointing to "doctor.vbs".
Entries named "SystemDoctor 2006 Free" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SystemDoctor 2006 Free\sd2006.exe*".
Entries named "Salestart" and pointing to "*SystemDoctor*".
Entries named "SystemDoctor 2006 Free" and pointing to "<$PROGRAMFILES>\SystemDoctor 2006 Free\sd2006.exe -scan".
Entries named "divx" and pointing to "divxenc.exe".
Entries named "Windows installer" and pointing to "C:\winstall.exe".

Make sure you set your file manager to display hidden and system files. If DocTor uses rootkit technologies, use our RootAlyzer (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=8) or our Total Commander anti-rootkit plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3).
You will have to use a global search for files without a name specified. Be extra careful, because just the name might not be enough to identify files!

Important: There are more files that cannot be safely described in simple words. Please use Spybot-S&D (http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?page=spybotsd) to remove them.

Folders:

You can use regedit.exe (included in Windows) to locate and delete these registry entries.

Delete the registry key "SystemDoctor 2006 FreeSettings2" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\".
Delete the registry key "SystemDoctor 2006 FreeTaskSettings" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\".
Delete the registry key "SystemDoctor 2006" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\".
Delete the registry key "SystemDoctor 2006 Free" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\".
Delete the registry key "{196B9CB5-4C83-46F7-9B06-9672ECD9D99B}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
Delete the registry key "{434E0224-8689-4C31-9380-3A857EF46F30}" at "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\".
A key in HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\ named "SystemDoctor.Free", plus associated values.
Delete the registry key "5RP#9893W#7ST9" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\".
Delete the registry key "{196B9CB5-4C83-46F7-9B06-9672ECD9D99B}" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects\".
Delete the registry key "Swartax" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\".
Delete the registry key "BwqoonEwuMBnMaoIBMIoBogwlccwcIlohanIIagwuMwn" at "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\".
Delete the registry key "SystemDoctor 2006 Free" at "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\".
