Explorer running in background [Archive]

Hi,

My computer is running very slowly. Granted, it's super old, but for now it's the only one I've got and I have to make do.

The primary problem, I think, is that Explorer and IExplorer are constantly running in the background, and when I turn iexplorer off in the task bar, it just reappears. Generally the iexplorer is using up about 30 k's.

I ran Spybot and Adaware, but neither removed the problem. I have posted my logfile from HJT below. Any help you can offer would be incredibly appreciated. Thank you so much!

Hi

Uninstall beta version of HijackThis.

Then download and install TrendMicro HijackThis (http://www.trendsecure.com/portal/en-US/_download/HJTInstall.exe).

Disable Spybot's TeaTimer to make sure it won't interfere with fixes. You can re-enable it when you're clean again:
Run Spybot-S&D in Advanced Mode
If it is not already set to do this, go to the Mode menu
select
Advanced Mode

On the left hand side, click on Tools
Then click on the Resident icon in the list
Uncheck
Resident TeaTimer
and OK any prompts.
Restart your computer

Download ResetTeaTimer.bat to the Desktop (right click the link and select save)

Double click ResetTeaTimer.bat to remove all entries set by TeaTimer (and preventing TeaTimer to restore them upon reactivation).

Remember to re-enable them afterwards.

Click Yes to allow ComboFix to continue scanning for malware.

When the tool is finished, it will produce a report for you.
