I apologize for the wait, volunteers are swamped at all forums with infected computers. If you have resolved your issues, please post to let me know so I can close this topic.

Make sure you read and follow the directions, anything else will slow the process and waste both of our time. I suggest you keep this computer offline except when troubleshooting, the junk may download more. If you have any tool I use, delete it and download it new from the link I provide. Read and follow the directions carefully, the tools will not work unless you do.
The junk can be tough to remove, so do not expect fast or easy.

Long battle with Malware, HJT log included
That usually indicates multiple malware tools, see this:
Do NOT run 'FIXES' before helpers have analyzed the HJT log

and the clues we use to tell us how to proceed are wiped away, and since you mention no symptoms, I am kind of in the dark. I see one small clue:
O20 - AppInit_DLLs: qmjqhl.dll,avgrsstx.dll
Which makes me think Virtumonde?

If you still need help, and you have read and followed the "Before you Post" directions, post a new HJT log since it has been five days, and I will take a look, please describe any recent symptoms.

I'm listing the HJT log file run 1/24/09....symptoms include, multiple pop-ups, url redirection, it removed system restore point to the date of virus infection, changed desktop wallpaper (and unable to change back), spontaneous reboots, blocks virus prevention tool web sites. I may have missed something, but will continue to make notes. I have disconnected the PC from the internet at this point. Thank you for your help!

If you still need help, and you have read and followed the "Before you Post" directions, post a new HJT log since it has been five days, and I will take a look, please describe any recent symptoms.
Please read the directions, when you get to this: When Spybot-S&D is installed.
Follow the directions to disable TeaTimer and post a new HJT log.

Thanks....sorry I missed that. I started up the PC, logged in, and as it went through the login process, it logged me out and asked me to log back in. This occurs each time I login. I then attempted to boot up in Safe Mode, with the same results. So, I'm unable to proceed. I'm guessing this is the end of the road?

Are you receiving any error message, any reason why you can't stay signed in? Have you tried to sign in as administrator?

I believe it's part of the malware that is preventing me from signing in as Admin....unfortunately that's my default when I startup (lesson learned). Actually it allows me to signin as Admin, but immediately signs me out. So to save everyone a lot of time (since I have a good full backup prior to the malware), I've completed a full format of the hard drive (not a quick one) and have reloaded XP. And changed Admin passwords, setup a less powerful user for my daily use, and learned a hard lesson about surfing, XP Admin permissions, and virus prevention. Thank you for your time and effort!
