Spybot prevents Zone Alarm from running

I have installed spybot on a windows xp machine with zone alarm running as firewall. After installation zone alarm failed to run with "there was a problem with True Vector Service" .
Any suggestions ?

I understand you say the problem occurred after installing Spybot-S&D but I do not know why.

It might be worth a shot posting at a ZA forum unless you receive an answer here shortly.

hi

i have been installed zone alarm. then i installed spybot. all run super! but when i wanted to update zone alarm. spybot blocked the a part of the automatic uninstall so i cant run the new and old version of zone alarm. i uninstalled spybot but it doesnt help!

has anybody a solution?? i have windows xp!

What messages did you receive and how did you answer them?

If they were TeaTimer message they can be found in the log displayed when you go into Spybot > Mode > Advanced mode > Tools > Resident or if you still have Spybot uninstalled, look in the following file:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Spybot - Search & Destroy\Logs\Resident.log
