Hi, my first post. I started gettin McAfee alerts yesterday. A wide range of problems,( vundo.gen.k, vundo.gen.t, vundo!grb, generic!artemis, w32/autorun.worm.gen, genericrootkit.d, fakealert-ag.gen.a, genericpacked, generic dropper.bw, and spy-agent.bw!mem.). All McAfee alerts and Quarenteened, then removed. This morning I installed Spybot s&d and it found,( fakebill.courtcologne, win23.agent.pz, smitfraud-c, win32.agent.hc, nurech, premiumsearch, pws.small.bs, virtumonde, virtumond.dll, win32.tdss.rtk, and win32.banker.xe. Spybot removed all the above, but three entries of virtumonde keep comming back, even though I unpluged my router to cut off internet access while i was removing them. My automatic updates service is disabled by something and will not allow me to enable it. McAffee no longer finds anything during scanning, but when I restart windows it detects and blocks a buffer overun in c:/windows/system32/services.exe, and also detects and removes the vundo!grb virus, both of which come back upon restart.
Whew!
I saved my registry as requested, but had already disabled system restore.

Hello again. Its hard for me to sit on my hands when my computer is having trouble so I thought I should update you on my efforts.
I kept having reoccuring malware problems. Spybot would alway detect virtumonde, but it kept comming back every time I scanned. I finally , at the urging of a friend,I downloaded a competitors product,(superAntispyware-free version) and scanned the computer. It found several problems, and removed and quarenteened them. On restart , I had no more McAfee alerts about buffer overruns or Vundo!grb. I was able to enable and start automatic update service. I scanned again and only found a couple traces of the previous infections. I then scanned with Spybot s&d, which again found Virtumonde. I disconnected my internet connection and had spybot S&d remove the three entries. I restarted the computer and scanned again. Spybot gave me a clean scan. I followed up with scans from Ad-Aware se, and McAfee which both were clean. I think I may be over the hill from my problems. I noticed that McAfee is detecting a lot fewer processes running on my computer which I feel is an indication I did some good. I'm appending a copy of the current Hijack This log file for you to check, just in case, but the computer seems to be running normally. I noticed during the scanning of my registry, there are a lot of keys pointing to websites I do not go to, ie porn,casinos...ect. Can you recomend a good, hopefully free registry cleaner/compactor program? Anyway, here's the Hijack This log:

Thank you very much for looking at my log and your assistance, and the help of Spybot S&D. Unless you see A problem with the log, I think my problem may be over for now. Foot:eek:
