Takes a long time to scan

My spybot-s&d 1.6 takes a very long time to scan my system these days.When i initially loaded it this was not the case.

It comes and stops at scanning download directories and i have not seen it go beyond that.

Any help is appreciated.

You seem to be using a dated version of Spybot-S&D.
Please download our current version Spybot - Search & Destroy 1.6.2.

I have downloaded 1.6.2 and am in the process of nstalling it. Will let you know in case that does not resolve the issue.
