Help!! Spybot won't scan and I really need it to!

Hey guys, hopefully someone here will have an answer for me. I have the newest version of Spybot first off. Up until a month or so ago, Spybot has worked wonderfully ever since I have had it. For some reason though, it just randomly stopped working. Whenever I press "Scan for problems" (or whatever it says), it goes to the screen, and just stays there, no text is constantly flickering at the bottom like its supposed to or anything. It just stays like that. Forever. When I try to close Spybot, it just freezes and I have to end it through Task Manager. Anyone know what the problem is? I have Vista 32-bit , 2.8ghz dualcore, and 3 gigs of ram. Please help! Thanks

Hey,

did you try to un-install and then re-install Spybot 1.6.2.46 ?

There's also the possibility that Malware blocks Spybot from Scanning. Is your pc free of virus and Malware?

yes, I did try to uninstall then reinstall. Didn't help =\. And my computer is definitely 100% free of any type of malware/spyware/etc. I am extremely protective of it, thats why I need Spybot up and running again!
