Major problems with Smitfraud-C and Virtumonde

I bought my HP Pavilion laptop ( Windows XP ) used but in good shape, except for a few popups now and then that I disregarded. A few days ago, I opened the laptop only to find a blue screen telling me that Windows had detected an error and shut down to avoid damage. I got the same screen again today. I had problems with Smitfraud on my previous laptop. I ran a check with Spybot S&D and during the botcheck, I could see clearly "Smitfraud-C" and its other components running down in the lower left of the scan window, but Spybot was not even detecting them! Virtumonde also appeared for a long while as well as Zango, Zlob, etc. I have run SmitfraudFix twice but it continues to appear in the lower-left of Spybot scans. I do not want to have to spend even more money on my computer because of a recurring virus! Help is very much appreciated.

I apologize for the wait, volunteers are swamped at all forums with infected computers. If you have resolved your issues, please post to let me know so I can close this topic.

If you still need help, and you have read and followed the "Before you Post" directions, post a new HJT log since it has been four days, and I will take a look, please describe any recent symptoms.

We need to chat a little before we start. The items you see whan Spybot S&D is running on the bottom left side of the interface are the items in the database that Spybot S&D is looking for, not stuff it is finding. If you read the directions "Before you Post" you would see the tutorial:

If you have an error message, it most be posted "word for word" exactly as Windows presents it to you, there is no way it can be researched otherwise. I will also suggest if you Google those error message you may get your answer without having to post at a forum?

Being a user of AVG8 free, I would like to know why you are running an out of date antivirus program? AVG7
