After having received a few virus's in my downloads director(y/ies), in the past, I have changed my download directory to one other than windows default. I feel that it would be beneficial to allow users to specify thier download directory. This could also be of benefit to networked systems that have a shared download directory, yet one that is NOT on the users 'local' drive.

Hello,
A general recommendation is that you store all incoming files (downloads) in a special folder, and that you set up this folder for a special installer scan. Please have a look at the "Directories" in the "Settings" when you run Spybot - Search & Destroy in "Advanced Mode". There you can add additional harddisks or folders.
Also to mention the File Scanner, that's probably best suited here.
(SDFiles.exe in the program folder if you didnt select it during installation to appear in Explorers context menu).
Best regards
