After I installed Chrome today, SpyBot gave a "malicious" warning about a file named Zango in the Google Updater. The error message in SpyBot says:
2/5/2009 1:28:20 PM Encountered and terminated Zango in C:\...LOKALE~1\Temp\GUMEE.tmp\GoogleUpdate.exe!
I told SpyBot to delete that malicious file and let me know if it sees it again. Could that be the cause of the "Update Server not available: error 3" message in Chrome? Was the file malicious or not???
I asked about this at the Google Chrome forum:

You can see the reply I got there.
One comment to me was "see if you can find any whitelist settings for Spybot, and add GoogleUpdate to the exception list."
My question here at the SpyBot forum is: How do I add GoogleUpdate to the exception list?
I'd also like your opinion on the Zango warning - is it a valid warning?
Thanks
