I just completed a reformat becuase I was being overrun by all kinda of spyware, malware and god knows what else.

Before the reformat I was unable to open my spybot S&D. I was able to open ad-aware but not update it (even though I had internet access) it kept saying server connection timeout or something like that. I could not access anything related to safer-networking(page could not be found) and when in the ad-aware website I couldn't dl the update (page could not be found).
I eventually found an update and ran Ad-aware to find that I had something called virtumonde(?) I then Dled something called SUPERantispyware and try with that as well... I was able to somewhat get rid of the virtumonde thing (which kept coming back)

I also found some fake anti spyware program on my computer which I unistalled, but it kept givving me "alerts" even though I uninstalled it

now aftter I completed a "descrutive recovery" (reformat) I still cannot access safer-networking and I really want to download spybot.
I was able to get adaware... but same update problem.
I'm running nod 32 antivirus
and I recently used a program called autorun eater becuase I was getting some RECYCLER error when tring to access any HD

I hope I've done this right and can get some help

is it possible to still have viruses/malware after a reformat?

Welcome to Safer Networking, I wish to be sure you have viewed and understand this information.
"BEFORE you POST" (READ this Procedure before Requesting Assistance) http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288
All advice given is taken at your own risk.
Please make sure you have read this information so we are on the same page.

I apologize for the wait, volunteers are swamped at all forums with infected computers. If you have resolved your issues, please post to let me know so I can close this topic.

If you still need help, and you have read and followed the "Before you Post" directions, post a new HJT log since it has been four days, and I will take a look, please describe any recent symptoms.

Only if you should save infected files and reinstalled them after the reformat, are you sure you did a reformat?

If you should have taken the computer online before your security programs were in place, it is very easy to get reinfected, see this:
Infected websites are the next internet security threats

If you want me to take a look, read and follow the directions and then post a HJT log to start.

Thanks
