Hello,
My Dell latitude 131L laptop has been infected with a virus that hyjacks and redirects web browsing, denies access to security sites and update sites. It also prevents scanning utilities from running such as Spybot Search and Destroy, ComboFix, SDFix. I was able to to track down "twex.exe" and get it deleted but that didn't help. I was using Avast antivirus but it detected nothing. I uninstalled Avast and installed Kaspersky Internet Security 2009, but could not get it to activate or download updates.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
