Malware Attack & Spybot May Not Be Functioning Properly

I inavertantly infected my PC with some malware. It was running slow, I had an icon on my taskbar which was a red circle with a white X in it telling me I was infected. My desktop wallpaper was blanked, and my internet browsers (IE and Firefox) were crippled. I tried running Spybot (fully updated) on a normal boot up, at the beginning of bootup after asking spybot do to so, and in safemode. There were 2 problems it detected that it could not remove, and some it said it fixed kept being detected. I am not certain that Spybot was functionly correctly because it was giving me error messages about not having "framedyne.dll"

I used hijackthis to remove some things that to me clearly did not belong and then I used System Restore to rollback to settings prior to the infection. Things seem to be ok but I want to make sure everything is good.

DO NOT have Hijackthis fix anything yet. Most of what HJT lists will be harmless or even required by your Operating System, a helper will guide you.

I suggest you take the time to read and follow the "Before you Post" directions pinnned (sticky) to the top of this forum and posted above. Once you have done that, then post a HJT log with the correct version of HJT and I will take a look. Describe and current symptoms.
