View Full Version : Fixed: Real Trojan or PGP False Positive?

Up until about a fortnight ago, Spybot S&D was reporting my system as clean. Following an update either last week or the one before, Win32.Agent.wls is being reported as hiding in my registry under PGP keys but nowhere else. Is this a false positive or should I clean the registry? I have run a search for PGP in the forum, but not found any results so started a new thread. Apologies if this is incorrect.

Details of the system are:

Windows XP SP2, up to date as of 02 March 2009
Internet Explorer 7.0.5730.13
Spybot S&D 1.6.2.46
Latest detection updates 25/02/2009

PGP Freeware 7.0.3

Scan result gave the following two results (as well as various cookies, etc). (I have deleted the rest of the log, but can supply a complete one if needed.)

Win32.Agent.wls: [SBI $5F1F5767] Settings (Registry key, nothing done)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\PGPService

Win32.Agent.wls: [SBI $CF79713A] Settings (Registry key, nothing done)
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet003\Services\PGPService
