I have three threats on my old Win 98 computer: (1) Aornum tracking cookie, (2) DSO Exploit Data source object exploit--a Resgistry change, and (3) FunWeb Settings--Registry key.

This old computer has no sensitive or important data on it. I am using it simply to learn smart security policy. It is firewalled and anti-virus is up to date. Spybot 1.3 has just been updated. The latest scan with Spybot shows the three threats listed above. Unless there is any real good reason to remove those three threats, I am currently hesitant to do so because I may need the tracking cookie for a search engine that I have been using to work properly. Also, since those last two threats are Registry related, I wonder if they should be removed by Spybot 1.3--I have learned that messing with the Registry is something you don't want to do unless you have specific instructions. My policy is to remove keyloggers anytime Spybot finds one, but the three threats listed above do not appear to be keyloggers.

I would appreciate knowing if there is any security issue with the three items referred to in this inquiry.
