Greetings -

What does 'No admin in ACL' mean?
And what (if anything) should I do about it?

Specifics:
A RootAlyzer Deep Scan generated one line:
Type: Folder
Object: 5BAF1940704098E2
Location: E:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\
Details: <Red Light> No admin in ACL

For kicks, I then searched for that Object string in the Registry, which garnered about a dozen hits,
three or four of them generating the error:
Cannot open 5BAF1940704098E2: Error while opening key.

What's it all about, Alfie?

Thanks kindly,

- Richard

And, since I had a few more minutes to kill before having to go pick up my son from the town's teen dance :bigthumb:, I looked in E:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox, and there was a folder named 5BAF1940704098E2, 'hidden' and read-only. I couldn't open it via the GUI, but seem to have been able to look inside via a Command Prompt window -- it appears empty, at least as far as 'dir /a' was concerned.

Thoughts, comments?

Folders with restricted rights have nothing to do there. And if you could not open associated registry keys either, that does not sound nice as well.

Can you remove the folder? By double-clicking it, a dialog with a removal option should open.

Of course, files is there could be hidden as well. For more browsing on a lower level, I usually recommend Total Commander (http://www.ghisler.com/) in combination with these plugins (http://forums.spybot.info/downloads.php?id=3) we created for that purpose. Might think about creating our own complete browser, hmm...
