Hi All my 1st time on here so here goes...........:red:
I noticed that my main PC was running a bit strange while on the internet, some websites would not open, the search results would not send me to the right pages, it would send me to another search result page,
I am running the latest AVG 8.0 anti-virus and SpyBot S&D 1.6.2 which are both kept updated weekly, I ran both programs and found a few rouge threats hiding around the pc, I remove said spyware and thought nothing more about it.
That was until next time we logged on to Internet, something still did not seem right! I updated and search again! Nothing turned up! in AVG  But SpyBot would not open ? It was on and running and I could update it! But I could not get it to open and run a search? I tried everything I could, I uninstalled it re-installed it but that was no good, so I tried running my PC in safe mode! (F8),
That would not work either! So I changed the BIOS settings to boot from CD drive with my XP disc, and yet again no joy!
I must have tried 10 times to start in safe mode, the F8 button was in melt down mode !! It was now late and desperation was setting in !!
I managed to run a search for some more anti-spyware that could help and found "Spyware Detector" which boosted to have a 30 day money back guarantee, so I down loaded it and ran a search, 75 infections later 11 which where critical I purchased said spyware!
My Pc does run better but now has only 29 miner problems! Well that’s what the new software says, but them 29 problems do not go away every time you search there they are again! I did this 4 times before the penny dropped!( its not a very good spyware detector)waste off money ! (I will now donate to SpyBot from now on !)
So I tried reloading SpyBot S&D and yet again I managed full installation and updates but still SpyBot will not open and run a search, and the safe mode still does not work!
Sorry to go on a bit !!
Please help! Parko42
