Hi, I was having problems with a malware/spyware or whatever it is, cant remember the name but it was putting a red cross in my bar and asking me to buy an anti-spyware tool.

I entered spybot S & D ad configured it so it would run a scan before windows starts, but now, everytime I start windows, it freezes at "windows is starting", spybot doesn't start and after some minutes a blue screen appears telling me a major error will make my comp reboot or something like that.

I have tried ALL the safe reboot options using F8 after rebooting.... but I am unable to start windows.

Someone could please help me out?

Thx and sorry for my english :)

but I am unable to start windows.

Hello Diegan.

The spyware you describe could be a nasty from the Smitfraud family of hijacks.

Are you posting from a different un-infected computer?

Let me know, the goal being to get a HJT log posted in the malware forum. :)

yes, this is a different computer. I cant get into my computer, not even a DOS prompt, dunno what to do :(

This is the wrst malware I have ever encountered, I have done like 10 different things to get rid of it, followed guides an stuff, but after setting spybot to stat before windows... I will hae to reinstall windows or something, I will loose al my data :(

I have asked a malware removal expert to take a look at this topic as soon as he comes on today, hang in there.

Hello
What windows system/version do you have ?
What version of SpyBot ?
Have you tried using "Last Known Good Configuration" ?

Answers: windows XP SP1

The spybot version, can't remember, and canīt get into my PC to look at it.

I have tried all safe booting systems.

I have the same problem with a windows XP SP2.

I've tried all safe mode booting procedures, as well as 'last known good configuration'.

I hate computers.

Any help would be nice.

Sorry to hear of those problems

You could try a repair install if you have the windows CD's
http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepairinstall.htm

Or take the pc to a local repair shop
