O Blessed Brains Battling Binary Buggar Bears,

After browsing through other threads in this forum, I realized that you might need more info to detect my problems. So even at the risk of bumping my thread lower:
1- Sysguard.exe and Spyware Protect 2009 were the first signposts that I had a problem. They got through AVG 7 which had been protecting me well for 2.5 years. I grew complacent.
2- I upgraded AVG to 7.5. I ran a rootkit scan in Safe Mode, and a coplete scan in regular mode. Both detected and removed some items (Trojan Downloaders) to the Virus Vault.
3- I bought and downloaded Malwarebytes. The installer would not work. I downloaded it to a clean machine and moved it to the infected PC via flash card. It installed, but hung on the last 1%. When I hover the cursor on the links proved in the eMail from Malwarebytes, the info tag shows the sites as: blocked: http etc.
4- After renaming the .exe file, I think got it installed from the desktop folder. The icon appears on the desktop; but it won't start.
5- I tried the same routine with SpyHunter. I tried marking the enigma website as a 'trusted zone' in IE options. It won't start either.
6- I haven't heard back from either software companies regarding my difficulties running their programs. I ordered the BU CD of Malwarebytes to see if it will run when it gets here in 10 days...
7- I downloaded HijackThisINstall to the clean machine and moved it over. It would not start. I downloaded the executable HiJackThis, and was able to scan the log in my first post.

Many thanks,
Joe

Welcome to Safer Networking, I wish to be sure you have viewed and understand this information.
"BEFORE you POST" (READ this Procedure before Requesting Assistance) http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288
All advice given is taken at your own risk.
Please make sure you have read this information so we are on the same page.

Pinned (sticky) to the top of this forum, and posted above are the directions, make sure you have read and followed them.

You do have some very nasty trojans onboard, have a look:
C:\WINDOWS\system32\ntos.exe
http://www.symantec.com/security_response/writeup.jsp?docid=2007-040208-5335-99&tabid=2

C:\WINDOWS\system32\admparsel.exe
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/startups/admparsel.dll-15610.html

C:\WINDOWS\system32\sdra64.exe
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/startups/sdra64.exe-24660.html

Because of that and what we probably can not see, you should view this information:

One or more of the identified infections is a backdoor trojan.
This allows hackers to remotely control your computer, steal critical system information and Download and Execute files
I would counsel you to disconnect this PC from the Internet immediately. If you do any banking or other financial transactions on the PC or if it should contain any other sensitive information, please get to a known clean computer and change all passwords where applicable, and it would be wise to contact those same financial institutions to apprise them of your situation.
Though the Trojan has been identified and can be killed, because of it's backdoor functionality, your PC is very likely compromised and there is no way to be sure your computer can ever again be trusted. Many experts in the security community believe that once infected with this type of Trojan, the best course of action would be a reformat and reinstall of the OS. Please read these for more information:

Let us know what you have decided to do in your next post.

Thanks

But at least now I know it.

This machine is a 1.5 Terrabyte RAID. Joy!
D: = 4 x 250 Gig striped and mirrored.
C: = 2 x 250

I need to save data of the following file types:
.jpg
.xls
Quicken data files.
.doc (but not many, if this is a potential bug harbor.)
My Outlook eMails.
My Outlook contacts and address book I can restore from my Blackberry. Is that safe?
Various software license files.

I'll be copying those files to another computer for temporary storage via Flash card. (We haven't let the sick machine on the network since it became infected. Except to access a remote check printer. Can this trojan ride a .prn file?) What is the best way to be sure that I don't bring the Trojans back?

Should I scan them with AVG again before offloading? (AVG let this bug in in the first place...)
Should I scan them in the flash drive of the destination machine before copying them?
Or should I scan them with a diffent anti-virus? Which one?

We're changing the password for our online credit card processor, and checking for any suspect transactions. In case there was a keystroke recorder in place before I knew it was sick.

The only time I used a credit card on this machine since it got trojanned was to buy MBAM. Irony is hard. Should I cancel that card?

Our online sales site (a remote hosting site) has a database that contains customer records. But access to that has to originate from our IP address. What do you think?

A problem I'm expecting: in working on this machine I tried to boot from the WIN XP Pro disc. (Not the repair from console option, the next one.) It would not recognize the F8 key to accept the XP license agreement. ESC would close the boot from disc process. And enter would tell me that the xp OS was not loaded on this machine. Am I going to have trouble formatting?

Thanks for walking us through this,
JoeBob

I will not be a lot of help with that, I have formated once (Windows 98), here is information if it helps:
