View Full Version : Hide Tray Icon, is it possible?
Previously I had TeaTimer running but did not have an icon in the sysytem tray. After the recent update it's back. It's not a big deal but I'm a minimalist and try to have nothing but the firewall icon over there. Is there any way to hide/re-hide the icon? Seriously, I can run the program if I need to get at any of the settings.
No, you can't go to most of the settings through the program ;)
But there's an inofficial option to hide it: shows here (http://forums.spybot.info/showpost.php?p=154331&postcount=5) for example.

In Windows XP, right click the Taskbar, choose Properties, choose the Taskbar tab, in the "Notification area" section click Customize..., find TeaTimer in the list and select "Hide Always".
PepiMK - What options can be reached through the tray icon that I can't access while running the program? That doesn't really make sense.
Thanks for the link: but for Windows Vista at least it's -
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Safer Networking Limited\SpybotSnD
and set the TeaTimerHide value to 1. The info in the link did not work on Vista, the above does.
teatimer is a whole different protection then the main spybot program. Teatimer is a active protection over your system, a resident. It has settings for itself that you cannot set within spybot. You must set them within teatimer settings box. This is what PepiMK meant. :)
