Spy Guard prevents manual update

Whenever I try to update my definitions manually I get a message when I hit Run: A box appears and says that SpyBot has encountered malicious software and will delete the download. It notes something called Spy Guard as being part of the download and then it deletes it. I can't download any updates.

This has been occuring for the past couple of weeks. I run AdAware and Symatec regularly. Does anyone know how to remove the Spy Guard so I can download updates? Thx.
