I hope this is the place to come and i tried reading all of the sticky posts but couldn't find what i needed. First let me say i am only a computer novice. Next let me thank anyone in advance that can help me out.
I am getting a vobumll.exe error report and pop up. Since this started all of my pictures and pdf files are corrupted. I am sure this is some type of virus but can't get my symantic anti virus to get rid of it or detect it. It also appears that the virus has shut down my antivirus protection system as the icon will no longer appear next to my clock any longer. I am happy to completely wipe out my system and start over but i really need my pictures and some of my pdf files. These pictures are of my daughter from birth to now almost 5 years old and can be replaced. I have now realized i am an idiot for not backing this stuff up a long time ago but i am sure you all know that as your reading this. I have found one program that can repair the pictures but can only do it 1 at a time and i have thousands of pictures which will take me a year to complete.
Is there anything i can do to fix this?
Thanks,
Tom
