Spybot Search & Destroy 1.6.2.46
Latest detection update: April 8, 2009
Windows XP Pro SP3
Firefox 3.0.8
IE 8.0.6001.18702
Cable Internet

As of the last update and immunization, I cannot access any version of adultfriendfinder.com without undoing the immunization, unless I go through proxy, which then limits the features (mainly the IM Chat) I can use. This wasn't a problem before, and, so far, this is the only site with which I have a problem. I've already ignored the cookies in the ignore list. Is there a way to remove adultfriendfinder.com (manually) from the immunization list? I'd rather have my browsers protected, but I'd rather not have to undo and redo the immunization every time I access that site, where I am a member.

I have tried to search for a solution already, and if I missed it, I'm sorry for the extra post.

Thanks so much

Can anyone help with this? If it's already been addressed, could some direct to where it was?

Thanks :)

Hello,

We have added this site to our list because it is bad.
You can undo the immunization to get to the site again.
if you do not want to do this you have to delete this entry from the restricted zones and put it to the trusted zones.
You will find it in your browser.
To customize security options in a zone:
It should be availabe in your browser: click Internet Options on the View menu,
or click Internet Options on the Tools menu.

Reviewing post 47659 http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=47659 you will notice they have come to the conclusion AdultFriendFinder had been added to the banned/blocked/or as spybotsandra as stated "bad" list in error.

"Adultfriendfinder is of course not a porn site, it is fare worse since it is pestering people with its advertising. This kind of advertising is however not always targeted, which means that it can be presented to anyone.
But this is not the reason why these sites were added to the black list.
The reason is more human: An error. "

The "fix" above is extremely tedious as I've noticed the latest immunization has added thousands of sites in the restricted zone. Users will need to search through and find each entry (i.e. mysite.com; www. mysite.com, etc.) and remove them all in order to access a site. This can be extremely tedious and frustrating especially for users who are not as computer saavy.

I would suggest that your default option would "prompt users" and give them the option to view the site or not. Currently your default is to silently block sites on your blacklist which, if a user cannot easily unblock a site, may prompt them uninstall spybot and use another product. I personally think you have a great product and hope you take this as constructive feedback to help improve it. Thanks again!...

I have already tried your suggestions. And i'm sorry to report that did not fix the problem. Any other suggestions?

Thanks

Remove it from your HOSTS file (Ctrl+F to find the site in the HOSTS file), but that'll result in a one less count in your Immunization when you view the tab. This can be a bit confusing when you receive the next update because there might be new sites added to your HOSTS file.
