Windows XP Pro would not boot because it said it could not find this file or because it was corrupt. I have been having trouble booting recently. So I reinstalled XP Pro yesterday. Someone in another forum told me I got this message because I had the Xabot worm. I downloaded Runalyzer and I don't think I have this worm (didn't find any autorun entries or files listed in the Runalyzer instructions). I also ran Hijackthis and searched in Windows for these entries/files but nothing. Why did Windows XP not find config32.exe? What kind of malware could I have? I run updated Spybot several times/week and use Avast 4.8 Pro.
