View Full Version : Fake.Wget
Hello,
Was wonderin if some one could help me out with removing Fake.Wget
When i run spybot it picks it up right away then after restart it is there again.
I found this thread http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=1767
I repeated his steps and in the .reg file i altered this line to match my #s
[-HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-583907252-764733703-682003330-1003\Software\Wget]
[-HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-1757981266-920026266-839522115-1003\Software\Wget]
I could not find this # tho
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Active Setup\Installed Components\{9B71D88C-C598-4935-C5D1-43AA4DB90836}]
REGEDIT4
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Active Setup\Installed Components\{9B71D88C-C598-4935-C5D1-43AA4DB90836}]
[-HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wget]
[-HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-21-583907252-764733703-682003330-1003\Software\Wget]
So im thinking because i dont have the right HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE # that this fix will not work tell i get the right #?
