Hi.I have an old Windows 98SE machine.I haven't updated to the latest version of spybot 1.6.2 yet because I don't know if it's going to work without any problems in my old pc.The same with tea timer 1.6.6.

I have Spybot 1.4 on my pc.It works fine but sometimes the help files don't load and I get a "not enough memory message" from the pc.The tea timer is disabled because of past problems with it.One time I downloaded an update of the main app when it was 1.5 or something and it did'nt install.

Should I update? How do I do it?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi gatito,

Spybot 1.6.2 supports Windows 98, which you can see here (http://www.safer-networking.org/en/spybotsd/index.html). Well, Windows 98 isn't supported by Microsoft any longer... but I guess you can't install a new operating system...

Spybot 1.4 isn't supported any longer, that means, you won't get new detection rules for Malware (updates).

Please un-install Spybot 1.4 completely (http://www.safer-networking.org/en/howto/uninstall.html), reboot your computer.

Download Spybot 1.6.2 from here (http://www.safer-networking.org/en/ownmirrors2/index.html) and install it.

If you have problems, we will help you. :bigthumb:
