Hi to all,
Started to have a few problems with the computer when i was recommended to download S&D, my father has used it for a couple of years and loves it. anyway my problem started when one day some audio adverts started playing on my computer when i was browsing. could not get rid so i tried to restart from a previous date to get rid of whatever it is, no joy whatever restore point i choose the computer simply ignores the request to go ahead and perform the task. i also have windowsclick trying to redirect me each time i go online, i am getting no joy in removing that either, i am told to open hidden drivers and remove one with names that dont appear on the driver list! anyway then i downloaded S&D but though the icon is on my desktop and info bar at the bottom each time i click to run it it just acts busy for a second then does nothing no screen flash as though its trying just nothing as though i have done nothing. i have read the maleware info re hjt etc but confess i am a technophobe and have no clue. any help to get this running and get rid of windowsclick and random audio adds would be much appreciated, you will have to forgive me if i ask daft questions... thanks in advance

Welcome to Safer Networking, I wish to be sure you have viewed and understand this information.
"BEFORE you POST" (READ this Procedure before Requesting Assistance) http://forums.spybot.info/showthread.php?t=288
All advice given is taken at your own risk.
Please make sure you have read this information so we are on the same page.

You must have read and followed the "Before you Post" instructions, anything else will waste your time and mine.
From what you posted, I will not begin to suggest I can help. If you have read the "Before you Post" instructions and can not post a HijackThis log using those simple directions, I suggest you ask someone with more computer experience to lend a hand. Remote repair is certainly not for everyone, you may also want to consider a local technician.

Thanks
